Planet Partners with Otsego Club to Construct World Class Terrain Park
Gaylord, MI
November 6, 2007
Ryan Neptune and the Planet team were on site at the Otsego Club this week to formulate plans for the resort’s upcoming freestyle terrain. The partnership with Planet will put Otsego on the map as the foremost terrain park in the Midwest.
Planet has been responsible for the industry’s most prestigious terrain parks and event venues. Neptune and his staff have the same expectations for Otsego.
“I believe the Otsego Club will be in a class of its own when it comes to creating a one of a kind winter environment for its private club membership and guests”, stated Neptune.
“This enhanced Terrain Park, which will be one of a kind in Michigan and the Midwest, will be very popular with snowboarding and winter enthusiasts of all levels. Our goal is to educate the staff, members and guests to the facilities and provide a complete care package to satisfy the learning curve and creativity of terrain parks while creating a safe environment”, continued Neptune.
During the visit, Planet scouted the terrain and considered placement options for this seasons parks and pipes. The physical layout will include two halfpipes at 13 and 18-feet, accompanied by plenty of jumps and rails. Planet will be on site during every stage of the design and construction process.
The Planet team is extremely enthusiastic about creating something unique for the Otsego Club. The final product will appeal to all of the resort’s members and guests while making it a freestyle terrain destination in the Midwest.

at the Northeast Summit Tradeshow on
terrain park design, construction and operation.

topics that are often overlooked by terrain builders.
Neptune drew on his own experience
to address areas of concern for ski areas in any region.
Attendees represented a variety of backgrounds including:
outdoor operations management, park maintenance, grooming,
risk management, ski patrol and snowmaking. A troubleshooting
